Role: Helpdesk Supervisor
With Envoy Since: January 2022
If it plugs into a wall, Joshua Navarro supports it. As Envoy’s Helpdesk Supervisor, Josh is the calm in the storm, managing the day-to-day fires of IT support while ensuring every client feels like their issue is the only one that matters.
The "Peanut Butter Jar" Philosophy Josh describes his favorite part of the job with a relatable analogy: "It’s kind of like that feeling when your wife can’t open the peanut butter jar... and you can open it for her.". He loves being useful. Whether it’s solving a complex technical problem for a user or enabling his team to work without worry, Josh thrives on being the go-to person who makes someone else’s day better.
Going the Extra Mile A self-described perfectionist, Josh wants every client to walk away wondering why they would ever call anyone else. He backs this up with action. Once, when a high-level business owner had a laptop die right before a critical deadline, Josh hunted down the exact model—meeting specific memory, color, and drive requirements—at a local store with only one in stock. He had the fully prepped device in the client’s hands within hours.
From "Good with Computers" to IT Leader Josh’s path to IT started with a nudge from his mom, who told a recruiter, "Well, he's good with computers". Originally interested in drafting and design, Josh found that troubleshooting—and connecting with people—came naturally to him. When he began exploring opportunities in Texas while still living in California, Envoy didn’t hesitate. Recognizing a standout talent with the perfect blend of technical expertise and genuine people skills, the team moved quickly to bring him on board. It was a perfect match from day one, proving that taking the leap to move states was the right call.
Off the Clock When he isn’t putting out IT fires, Josh enjoys the simple things: camping, reading everything from philosophy to mystery novels, and spending time with family. A fun fact? He’s a BBQ magician. Give him some wood, charcoal, and meat, and he’ll make magic happen.
